Composition:
Each tablet contains Oxytetracycline HCl BP 500 mg
Indication:
Etratab is a highly effective broad spectrum antibiotic. Etratab is indicated for gastrointestinal and respiratory tract infections caused by oxytetracycline sensitive gram positive and gram negative Bacteria, Mycoplasma and Rickettsia in calves, goats and sheep poultry. It is also indicated in septicemia in livestock and fowl cholera in poultry.
Etratab specifically works in diseases caused by actinomyces, chlamydia and mycoplasma organism. Rickettsia including Coxiella burnetii, spirochetes including Borrelia, leptospira, trepanoma spp., Brucella spp., gram positive bacteria including Bacillus anthracis, Listeria monocytogenes and some streptococci and staphylococci organism.
Dosage and indication:
Cattle, buffalo and horse:
1 Etratab tablet for 100 kg body weight of animal.
Calf, sheep and goat:
½ Etratab tablet for 25-50 kg body weight of animal.
Dog & cat:
¼ Etratab tablet for 3 kg body weight of animal.
Side effects:
General side effects include nausea. No other specific side effects is observed.
