Description:
Sulfa drugs and vitamin K3-rich Coccicide Plus® Vet Powder is a highly potent, versatile chemotherapeutic drug effective against protozoa and many species of bacteria.
Sulfa drugs prevent the growth of protozoa and bacteria by inhibiting the proliferation of microorganisms. Para-aminobenzoic acid is a protozoan and bacterial growth-promoting compound whose chemical structure is similar to that of sulfa drugs. The sulfa drug inhibits the uptake of para-aminobenzoic acid by protozoa and bacteria and are themselves absorbed in turn by the bacteria, thereby altering the DNA of protozoa and bacteria, inhibiting their synthesis and as a result preventing the proliferation of bacteria and protozoa.

COMPOSITION
Each 100-gm powder contains,

Sulphadimethoxine Sodium       BP        2 gm

Sulphadimidine Sodium             BP        20 gm

MODE OF ACTION

INDICATION
Coccicide Plus® Vet Powder is used very successfully to treat and prevent coccidiosis or blood dysentery in poultry. Its success rate is almost 100% in cases of blood dysentery. These two drugs are so effective that even if the start of the treatment is delayed, the disease outbreak is controlled and the death rate of chickens is reduced rapidly. Coccicide Plus® Vet Powder acts upon various species of protozoan in the intestinal tract of poultry like Eimeria tenella, Eimeria maxima, Eimeria Brunetti, Eimeria necatrix and Eimeria acervulina which are the main cause of coccidiosis in poultry. Besides, it is equally effective against Foul Cholera and Foul Typhoid caused by Pasteurella spp. and Salmonella spp. respectively.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Poultry:
Treatment of Coccidiosis : Acute : 1 gm/liter drinking water for 3-5 days.
Per acute : 1.5 gm/liter drinking water for 3-5 days

Prevention of Coccidiosis : 1st day : 1 gm/ liter drinking water;
2nd & 3rd day : 1 gm/ 2 liter drinking water;
4th-7th day : 1 gm/ 4 liter drinking water.

Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep and Goat: 1 gm/ 10 kg body weight for 3-5 consecutive days.

Or, as per direction of Registered Veterinarian.

CONTRAINDICATION
Coccicide Plus® Vet Powder is contra-indicated in use of animals and birds that are hypersensitive to any of its ingredients.
