Sulphadiazine: 4-amino-N-pyrimidin- 2-yl-benzenesulfonamide.
Trimethoprim: 5-(3,4,5-Trimethoxybenzyl)pyrimidine-2,4-diamine.

Description:
Erotrim® Plus Powder is a water-soluble antibiotic powder containing a combination of three potent anti-bacterial agents. Erythromycin is a macrolide antibiotic highly effective against gram positive bacteria and Mycoplasma. It is also effective against some gram-negative bacteria such as Nessaria spp. Erythromycin works by binding with 50s ribosomal subunit, consequently inhibiting protein synthesis of bacteria. Sulphadiazine inhibits biosynthesis of PABA to dihydrosulphonic acid & Trimethoprim inhibits the biosynthesis of tetrahydrofolic acid from dihydrofolic acid.

COMPOSITION
Each gm powder contains Erythromycin INN 180 mg+ Sulphadiazine USP 150 mg+ Trimethoprim USP 30 mg

MODE OF ACTION

INDICATION
Poultry:
Erotrim® Plus Powder is generally used to treat Infectious Coryza, Pullorum Disease, Fowl Typhoid, Fowl Cholera, Colisepticemia, Enteritis, Bronchopneumonia, CRD in poultry.

Erotrim® Plus Powder is specially indicated against the above mentioned diseases while other antibiotics and chemotherapeutics do not work effectively in cases of resistance problem.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Poultry: 0.5-1.0 gm/ 1 liter of drinking water for 3-5 consecutive days.
The medicated water should be freshly prepared each day and the birds must not be allowed any excess water outside the medicated water during treatment.

Or, as per direction of Registered Veterinarian.

CONTRAINDICATION
The drug should not be used in animals hypersensitive to any of these active ingredients.

SIDE EFFECT
There is no prominent side effect of this drug while used in recommended dosage.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
The drug should be withdrawn 5 days prior to slaughter.

STORAGE
Store away from light in a cool and dry place.
Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
