(4S,4aR,5S,5aR,6S,12aS)-4-(Dimethylamino)-3,5,6,10,11,12a-hexahydroxy-6-methyl-1,12-dioxo-1,4,4a,5,5a,6,12,12a-octahydrotetracene-2-carboxamide

DESCRIPTION:
Oxytetracycline is under group of Tetracycline’s which bind to the 30s ribosomal subunit of bacterial ribosome and interfere with the binding of aminoacyl-tRNA to the mRNA molecule in ribosome complex. Thereby interfering with the bacterial protein synthesis in growing or multiplying of bacteria, leading to bacteriostatic. But higher concentration results in bactericidal action.
