Description:
Fenbendazole is an anthelmintic belonging to benzimidazole-carbamate group. It works by interfering with the energy metabolism. It is also effective against the eggs of worms. Fenbendazole blocks the microtubules and disrupts the energy management system of the worms leading to paralysis and death.

COMPOSITION
Each bolus contains Fenbendazole BP 250 mg.

MODE OF ACTION
Fenzol® Vet (Fenbendazole BP 250 mg) is an anthelmintic belonging to benzimidazole-carbamate group. It works by interfering with the energy metabolism. It is also effective against the eggs of worms. Fenbendazole blocks the microtubules and disrupts the energy management system of the worms leading to paralysis and death.

INDICATION
Fenzol® Vet (Fenbendazole BP 250 mg) is a broad-spectrum ideal and safe anthelmintic; and is indicated for the removal of the following parasites in:
Cattle, Buffalo, Sheep, and Goats: Adult forms of: Haemonchus contortus, Ostertagia ostertagi, Trichostrongylus axei, Bunostomum phlebotomum, Nematodirus helvetianus, Cooperia spp., Trichostrongylus colubriformis, Oesophagostomum radiatum and Dictyocaulus vivaparus. It also has good activity against Moniezia spp., and arrested development of 4th stage forms of Ostertagia ostertagi.
Horses: Large strongyles (S. edentatus, S. equinus, S. vulgaris), small strongyles (Cyathostomum spp., Cylicocylus spp., Cylicostephanus spp., Triodontaphorus spp.) and pinworms (Oxyuris equi).
Dogs: Ascarids (Toxocara canis, T. leonina), Hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum, Uncinaria stenocephala), Whipworms (Trichuris vulpis), and Tapeworms (Taenia pisiformis). It is not effective against Dipylidium caninum.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Method of administration: For oral administration only

Sheep & goat: 1 bolus/ animal (5 mg/ kg body weight) as a single dose.
Cattle, Buffalo & Horse: 7.5 mg/ kg body weight as a single dose.
Dog & Cat: 100 mg/ Kg body weight as a single dose.

Or, as per the direction of a Registered Veterinarian.

CONTRAINDICATION
Fenzol® Vet (Fenbendazole BP 250 mg) should not be used within 14 days of liver fluke treatment and in animals less than 3 months of age. It should not be given concurrently with the bromsalan flukicides (Dibromsalan, Tribromsalan). Abortions in cattle and death in sheep have been reported after using these compounds together.

SIDE EFFECT
Common side effects : Allergic responses may be seen in Cattle with heavy lungworm infection.
Rare side effects : Not known.

Fenzol® Vet is well tolerated at doses up to 100X recommended. It is unlikely that an acute overdosage would lead to clinical signs.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Fenzol® Vet may be used during pregnancy, lactation and lay. However, risk and caution should be maintained while administering pregnant, lactating animals and lay.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat- Meat must not be consumed up to 14 days; Milk- 3 days after administration of this medicine.

STORAGE
Keep away from light in a cool and dry place.
Keep all the medicines out of reach of children.

PACK SIZE
Each box contains 2 strips of 10 boli each.
