Description:
Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam family. It acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. Meloxicam has anti-endotoxic properties too.
Paracetamol is an antipyretic agent. It reduces fever by depressing the heat regulatory centers in the hypothalamus.

Meloxicam BP and Paracetamol BP

COMPOSITION
Each ml contains Meloxicam BP 20 mg & Paracetamol BP 150 mg.

MODE OF ACTION
Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of the oxicam family. It acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby exerting anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic, and antipyretic properties. Meloxicam has anti-endotoxic properties too.
Paracetamol is an antipyretic agent. It reduces fever by depressing the heat regulatory centers in the hypothalamus.

INDICATION
Meloxicam & Paracetamol (Meximol® Vet Injection) are indicated in inflammation, pain, fever, lameness, dehorning & castration. It is also used as supportive therapy in acute respiratory infections, diarrhea, acute mastitis etc.

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
Method of administration: For IM/IV/SC injection only.
Livestock: 1 ml / 40 kg body weight as a single dose for 3-5 days.

Or, as per the direction of a Registered Veterinarian.

CONTRAINDICATION
 Animals less than six weeks old.
 Animals hypersensitive to Meloxicam.
 Contraindicated in animals with impaired renal, hepatic & cardiac function.
 Do not administer concurrently with steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (SAID) & other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID).

SIDE EFFECT
A slight transient swelling at the injection site following SC injection may be seen. Prolonged use may cause gastrointestinal lesions, inappetence, vomiting and diarrhea.

USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
No data is available for the combination of Meloxicam & Paracetamol to use in pregnant & lactating animals. So, risk and caution should be maintained during the administration of medicine in pregnant & lactating animals.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Meat- 15 and Milk- 5 days.

STORAGE
Store away from light in a cool and dry place.
Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
